Throughout my freshman, sophomore, and junior years, I have been collaborating with medical and data science professionals to create a machine-learning-based product, Youthspan, that will take the latest research in longevity and wellness and make personalized recommendations on what individuals can do to live longer and healthier. By reviewing hundreds of scientific papers on wellness and longevity, collecting data from nutritional databases to train the software to analyze diets, and creating data science models to analyze and combine the results of these different papers, I have developed a machine learning model for calculating longevity given inputs on people’s current health and lifestyle.
Our research was well-received when invited to present our groundbreaking work to an audience of health professionals at the 2022 US Health Data Science Conference (DSC). We even submitted our product to a national competition the federal government launched for AI/machine learning solutions for health care in America. Youthspan is unique as a solution that helps every American optimize health and longevity in a way that doesn’t cost the federal government hundreds of billions of dollars. The success of our product led us to establishing METY Technology Inc., a company specialized in developing artificial intelligence and machine learning software to improve the quality of life of individuals. As I aided in creating this health-related software product, I am a co-founder and co-owner of this enterprise and was given stocks of the company.
